Every year the poetry reading is one of the highlights of the conference. Teachers from all grade levels and areas of the state gather to read and listen to their colleagues read their original poems. As a result of the interest teachers have shown in having a forum for their poetry and in a desire to generate income for our community outreach for literacy project, TCTELA has decided to publish an anthology of poems written by Texas teachers that speak to our personal and professional lives. We encourage you to submit your original poetry for inclusion in this anthology.
