TCTELA provides updates to English teachers through a quarterly e-newsletter, Texas Voices. The biannual peer review journal, English in Texas, accepts manuscripts throughout the year and is mailed to TCTELA members. View the journal tab to learn more about how to submit a manuscript. The journal will soon be offered on EBSCO through your local college and university.

TCTELA Member Tammy Francis Donaldson is a doctoral student at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi conducting research to determine the reading practices of English Language Arts teachers currently teaching in grades 6-12 in the state of Texas. The purpose of her study is to examine literacy experiences, current reading habits, and teachers as reading models. The information obtained will provide insights about teachers as readers.
